 Why did you join the Royal Canadian Navy? I joined the RCN to play soccer for the Royal Military College of Canada.

What is the best part about being in Royal Canadian Navy? The best part about being in the RCN is travelling the world.

What is your most memorable experience? Navigating the San Juan and Gulf Islands and representing Canada at the World Military Soccer Championship in France in 2016 are two of my most memorable experiences.

What are some additional highlights of your naval career? Representing Canada at the World Military Volleyball Championship in Mayport, Florida in 2017; becoming Fleet Navigating Officer qualified; attending San Francisco’s Fleet Week; and doing community outreach along the west coast of Africa in spring of 2017 are some of my career highlights to date.

Why have you stayed in the RCN? The RCN gives me opportunities to see the world and it is a rewarding career.

What would you say to someone that is considering a career in the RCN?

Give it a shot. A career in the RCN will teach you a lot about responsibility, time management and leadership.

What do you want the Canadian public to know about their Navy? The navy provides you with an incredible opportunity to serve with great people.

What is it like to sail across Ontario and Quebec in the Great Lakes Deployment? It is extremely difficult but incredibly rewarding as it is a navigationally heavy mission.

Please tell a little bit about yourself, outside of the Navy.

I play competitive volleyball and competitive soccer with the Halifax City Whitecaps and I love taking my 9-month-old dog to the park. My family lives in Caledon East, Ontario.
