DT News: Mental Health Week
Transcript
(P) Today marks the beginning of Mental Health Week.
Each year, the Canadian Mental Health Association promotes a nationwide conversation about mental health encouraging Canadians to #GetLoud about what mental health really is.
(S) Speaking recently at an event in Ottawa, the Deputy Minister stressed the importance of maintaining mental health.
(DM) Among other things, as leaders, as members of the Defence community, we need to create a healthy culture within our offices so our people can thrive mentally and physically. Because our mental wellbeing is as important as our physical well being.
(S) This week is an opportunity for Defence Team members to reflect on their personal mental health, and to take stock of how individual actions can help improve your well-being and build a healthier workplace.
(P) All Defence Team members are encouraged to get involved in Mental Health Week.
Look for mental health tips, resources, and event information on the Defence Team’s Mental Health Week intranet page and social media channels.
