More bad news for lovers of Ar-15 style 22 calibre rifles. Just as with the Smith and Wesson M&P 15/22 rifles the RCMP has announced that magazines for the Chiappa 22 calibre Ar-15 style rifles will have to be pinned to ten rounds. Chiappa, much like Smith and Wesson has introduced a pistol version of their rifle. Since the magazines were designed and are manufactured to be interchangeable between both the rifle and the pistol version, the magazines are classified as pistol magazines and thus limited to ten rounds.
