430 Squadron celebrates its 75th anniversary in style
430 Tactical Helicopter Squadron celebrated a milestone in its history—its 75th anniversary—in a big way, with a series of activities and the publication of a book about the squadron.
The celebrations began on September 13, 2018, at the Quebec Garrison Club with the launch of a book paying tribute to 430 Squadron. On September 14, 70 members of the unit paraded through the streets of Quebec City, upholding the tradition of Freedom of the City, which is granted by a city to a military unit. And 430 Squadron’s 75th anniversary ball was held on September 16, 2018, at Hôtel Le Concorde, with almost 450 people in attendance.
