Thank you message from the DM and the CDS on the closing of the 2018 National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign
When the 2018 National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign (NDWCC) got underway in September we challenged the Defence Team to stand shoulder-to-shoulder in support of those who need it most.
As we reach the end of this campaign cycle, we are truly proud of how everyone came together, standing as a united front! Your support of the 86K+ registered Canadian charities once again surpassed the million dollar mark, allowing the organisations that matter most to you to continue supporting the people and causes they represent.
What matters for many of you is ensuring that military personnel and their families are supported. When your donation impacts members of the Canadian Armed Forces, the entire Defence Team wins. Whether it be through Support Our Troops, Solider On, Wounded Warrior Canada, the Military Police Fund for Blind Children, or your local military family resource centre, it all matters.
We were able to take part in several activities for the campaign and appreciate the personal stories you shared through videos, articles, and photos from across the country and beyond. A special thank you to our CAF family for allowing us into their lives and sharing the very real impact of giving.
We also want to thank all of the volunteers for their tremendous efforts in organizing and running local campaigns across the country. Without you, we could not do this.
Thank you all again for your support.
