If your role is to directly support Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members and their families, the Chief of Military Personnel (CMP) Administrative Response Centre (ARC) is here for you! We are here to support the supporters: we streamline the process of finding, clarifying and responding to enquiries that relate to Military Personnel Command policy for personnel whose role it is to support CAF members and their families.

The ARC is also tracking all incoming enquiries and outgoing responses. Data captured provides us with vital information regarding areas of dissatisfaction, misinterpretations of policy, and policy gaps, so that these can be addressed to better meet current and future needs of CAF members and organizations.

What policies does CMP ARC handle?

The ARC handles any inquiries and informal complaints related to Military Personnel Command policy, including those related to pay and benefits, careers, dress, official languages, medical and dental policy, human rights workplace accommodations, and so on. The ARC’s authority does not extend into addressing other CAF Level 1 Command-level policies, such as Canadian Army Orders, Naval Orders, and Air Force Orders, though there may be some crossover on occasion.

What’s been happening since we opened?

Since CMP ARC was rolled-out in May at the Canadian Forces Base Borden we have received, tracked, and responded to nearly 70 enquiries. During this initial phase the ARC continues to tweak and refine our processes to facilitate the increased demand that is expected. Subsequent dates and locations to expand ARC operations are expected to follow in Fall 2019 and in April 2020, when CMP ARC is expected to open at all CAF locations and to various affiliated organizations whose role it is to support CAF members and their families.
