DT News: We spoke with participants at this year’s Aerospace Maintenance Competition at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta
Transcript
(N) Five teams from the Royal Canadian Air Force recently took part in this year’s Aerospace Maintenance Competition at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
During this exciting showcase of air maintenance professionals, we spoke to the participants to learn more.
(MCpl Brown) My overall impression of this competition is that it’s been well laid-out. It’s been very accommodating for military and schools. I feel it’s important for technicians and the RCAF to come to events like this, because they see how they measure up against other teams, other nationalities in the civil industry and military. It’s been a great experience.
(Cpl Hautzinger) So the tasks I’ve completed over the last two days have ranged from simple cable rigging all the way up to the complex avionics systems within fixed-wing aircraft.
This has been a great experience! Anybody who’s looking into doing anything like this should just go for it. It’s a nerve-racking, terrifyingly fun experience. And that’s the best way I can describe it.
(N) That’s it for us. Thank you so much for watching. See you next time…for Defence Team News!
