(C) The CAF and Veterans Affairs Canada recently announced the new Transition Group, to better support military members, Veterans, and their families.
The Group will provide professional and personalized services, whether on the road to recovery, returning to duty in the CAF, or transitioning to life after service.
(BGen Misener) Today, we are implementing Operation Transition, a Canadian Armed Forces operation that provides clear direction from our Chief of Defence Staff and our Deputy Minister to improve the provision of casualty support and expand transition services to all members and their families. The fact that this is a named operation speaks to the importance of the mission and ensures that this will be a sustained, forces-wide effort.
(C) A reminder that Stage II of the Veteran’s Service Card began earlier this month. CAF members and Veterans who released between February 2016 and September 2018 can now apply for the card. All serving CAF members and Veterans are also encouraged to register online for a MyVAC Account. For more information on these initiatives, visit the related links.
