DT News: National Defence now has a Data Strategy, and Linguistic Duality Day is taking place tomorrow!

(J) National Defence now has a Data Strategy that will support modernization efforts and key objectives identified in Canada’s defence policy. The strategy aims to ensure that all aspects of Defence programs leverage data to enhance our capabilities at home and abroad. This information advantage will help our military fulfill their mission to better protect Canada and its people.
(S) With the latest technology, our ships, land vehicles and aircraft have become data platforms. The Data Strategy sets the course for a harmonized approach to collect, manage and analyze data with a skilled workforce to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Defence programs.
(J) The Assistant Deputy Minister for Data, Innovation and Analytics will provide training and support to implement the strategy across Defence.
