DT News: Exercise STALWART GUARDIAN and a reminder that the NDWCC launches this week!
Transcript
(J) A collective training event recently took place which focused on improving Reserve and Regular Force integration for Army Reserve formations and units within 4th Canadian Division.
(S) Held simultaneously in Petawawa and Meaford, Ontario, Exercise STALWART GUARDIAN focused on realistic and challenging training for Reserve soldiers, acting as a confirmation of skills for soldiers completing their summer training and full-time summer employment contracts.
(J) The largest event of its kind, the exercise included an 80-hour continuous advance involving ambushes, raids, artillery fire missions, live demolitions, and obstacle breaches.
(J) Before we go, a reminder that the National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign launches this week! This year, the campaign is focusing on the very real issue of veterans’ homelessness.
(S) The Defence Team will be working with registered charities who address the reality of homelessness among our veterans, or offer services or support to former CAF members. For more information on how you can stand shoulder-to-shoulder against veterans’ homelessness, visit the related links.
