DT News: exercise ARDENT DEFENDER and HMCS St. John’s on the Great Lakes Deployment

(J-A) HMCS St. John’s recently set sail as part of this year’s annual Great Lakes Deployment.
(S) The warship will be visiting communities throughout the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway until November 13th. Come take a tour of the ship and speak to the crew to find out more about the exciting career opportunities available in the Royal Canadian Navy.
(J-A) There are rewarding and challenging careers now open, including Sonar Operator, Naval Combat Information Operator, Naval Communicator and Naval Electronic Sensor Operator.

A recent joint exercise aimed to improve participants’ ability to counter explosive threats and foster collaboration with partner nations and other organizations.
(J-A) Exercise ARDENT DEFENDER recently took place at Canadian Forces Base Borden and 4th Canadian Division Training Centre in Meaford, Ontario.
(S) This was the seventh annual iteration of the exercise, involving 27 countries, police forces and governmental agencies, and approximately 450 participants.
(J-A) Bringing together CAF members from commands across Canada, the exercise sought to both maintain and expand skills, while providing an opportunity to share knowledge and techniques.
