Our winner for today is l’énergie renouvelable.

And today, we are here to present our Renewable Autonomous Modular Energy System, RAMS. The system needed to be as small as possible, we are towing it with an ATV or a snowmobile. It needed to resist harsh environments, especially extreme cold in our case. It needed to provide different types of power, 12 volts, 24 volts, 48 volts and 120 volts. The system needed to be capable of storing energy. We need to survive the night until the sun comes up the next day. The project scope will provide renewable energy system to the various levels of a territorial Battle group, or Battalion level organization.

And that is the 3D printing. So that’s our runner-up. And just a little round of applause for them.

With little notice, I found myself getting deployed. And after what I was told was going to be a short 28-hour flight, I found myself jet-lagged and disoriented. Within hours of trying to get my bearings, I was asked to provide a fix for a problem.

Right now, depending on the procurement, it’s conceivable that a manufacture can submit a bid that contains a part that can only be created with 3D printing. These parts will be created with new design methods that reduce materials, while maintaining and/or increasing the strength of the parts. We want to be able to take advantage of this technology, because it can revolutionize our systems and our equipment.

The Knowledge Management System 2.0 is about connecting the people who have the questions with those who have the knowledge. So now, we have a user with a question. The first thing they are going to do is ask a question into the system. This is going to get analyzed, and again, extracting key terms, phrases and words. It is going to first look for that answer or the knowledge in the Answer Garden. If it finds it, it sends it to the user. If not, it goes to the Lessons Database. And if it still can’t find it, it will work with the SMEs to provide the knowledge to those who need it.

My name is Caporal Kurt Vandercrone and I got Sergeant Germain Daigle and this dog. Today, we are going to be discussing the introduction of military working dogs into the Canadian Armed Forces. This is a great opportunity for public interaction within the community and to create outreach programs, because the public should know that if something were to happen, they could feel confident that our dogs will respond to them if they are missing. Once again, the total budget we are requesting is $180 000 for a lifesaving asset, which is unspeakable and should be a part of the Forces.

We are service providers at our core, the value of the user experience should be engrained at every level. We strive to make the system as easy as possible. We use a simple tool which results in user’s experience improvement. Drop downs are provided to reduce typing and provide consistency across the accounts. The system can be used with little or no training. Though, we do provide it. Unit section options are populated from curated database. Units Reps Are restricted to the authorized units. And these selections also dictated where the personal files will be stored. There are common drives as well as unit section specific permissions.

And it is our belief that these great experiences should also extent to the administration of the program. In particular to those we serve, the Cadets and their parents. My name is Mark McPherson.

And I, Major Nathan James. And today, we are here to tell you about how we plan to make these administrative experiences as amazing as our training experiences.

What we are presenting here is a quick simple easy test that provides a solution to a very serious problem. So, judges, in your hands, you have a mock-up of what we envision the test looking like. As you can see, it is simple. No moving parts, no electricity. It is compact. I can carry one in my pocket right here. And it is just based on a simple colour change to determine if you have actually been exposed to nerve agents. It is very quick. You can go from samples to results in about three minutes.

So within two months, we had the idea: What if we had an electronic system with rules-based automation that could enable a digital workflow with all the rules and mitigations inside it, using rules-based intelligence and automation? And then, what is unique here is we have a level 4 approval, a level 3 approval, a level 2 approval, and a level 1 approval. This system allows that same document to move across multi-levels of approval depending on the delegations required to approve that form.

Welcome everyone. This presentation is about Primary Reserve Information Management System and how we can create an integrated Mobile App pour the Reserves. The purpose of this innovation is to develop and integrate several enterprise software systems and create an integrated communication system that engages the reservists using a modern and smooth user-centric mobile app.

And so, what we are going to do is we are going to take all of these different components and we are going to consolidate them into a High Security Smart Card. But on top of that, that is the consolidation. The modernization is bringing in the biometrics, facial recognition, digital fingerprints, and then tightly binding the identity to the card. Now this represents your digital persona and which you can do your online transactions.

I do want to take a moment thank, once again, all the teams for coming up here. Some of them travelling in. We really appreciate you taking the time, not just today but throughout the development of your projects in the last eight, nine months that we’ve been doing this. Almost every single one of these has an element that I think we would like to see pushed forward institutionally. So congratulations to all of you for that.
