Stroke, stroke, stroke….

Good day, Formation Halifax!

My name is Captain David Mazur… Base Commander.

You may wonder what we’re doing here today. Well, my wonderful NDWCC planners have secured Lake Banook to conduct some dragon boat races on the 17th of October, in the afternoon.

CFB Halifax officially challenges 5 Division, 12 Wing Shearwater, MARLANT HQ, Fleet Lant, Fleet Maintenance Facility, NFS(A) and Canadian Forces Health Services to meet us in battle on Lake Banook for some fun and competition.

Boat teams consist of 20 people. We want a mix of male and female. Military and civilian members are more than welcome. The fundraising goal for a boat is $2,000. And of course, there’s no pre-practicing on the water. If you take up this challenge, make your own funny video in response. Come out, participate, make a difference!
