RCAF to mark 78th anniversary of the Battle of Britain

Ceremonies commemorating the Battle of Britain will be held across the country on Sunday, September 16, 2018.

Members of the public in the National Capital Region are invited to attend the national ceremony marking the 78th anniversary of the Battle of Britain at the Gatineau-Ottawa Executive Airport.

Who: Royal Canadian Air Force personnel, veterans and Royal Canadian Air Cadets will gather to remember Canadian and Allied sacrifices during the Battle of Britain. Weather permitting, the ceremony will feature a fly-past of vintage aircraft and current Royal Canadian Air Force aircraft. Lieutenant-General Al Meinzinger, Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force, will be the reviewing officer at the parade.

When: 10 a.m. until noon, Sunday, September 16
