Questar International has recently announced a new product for the Canadian black rifle market, the Vulcan Armaments AV15 carbon fibre/aramid Ar-15 lower receiver. Vulcan claims that their product has a higher tensile strength than a standard aluminum lower while weighing only half as much, in addition to being completely corrosion resistant. With a retail price of only $119.99 the AV15 lower represents an inexpensive alternative for those considering a dedicated 22Lr or 9mm build or for those who are simply on a budget.
